Suddenly things change. Suddenly one sees the good in what previously was viewed as bad.

This is what perspective can do for one. Shifting it, changing it, altering your perspective especially when it comes to things you dislike could help you out feeling better and happier.

It’s easy but regarding certain stuff, we don’t want to see anything different.

This is as big of a reminder for me as it is aimed to be for one for you. I tend to forget that I’m going to die, that I am not going to be on this planet forever.

This creates a framework, a place to be, in which every single second counts. Every single second is worth living, every single second is unique.

Live your life. I mean it. Enjoy the good, enjoy the bad. Enjoy your rules, enjoy your freedom.

Life is good.

We decide what things mean to us. We decide what means something to us and what doesn’t. We add value, we create value.

Your grandmother’s necklace? It’s just a necklace. We give meaning and value to objects, people, and situations. I don’t want to say “special items” should be treated as NOT being special. It’s fine to give value to things unless it’s hurting you and possibly making your life more difficult or even simply worse.

What about giving meaning to one own’s life?

It makes sense to do those things one easily forgets at first or at the time one remembers them.

I tend to forget a ton of things. I believe this, on one hand, is a way my mind can protect itself. Things I don’t know (anymore) can’t hurt me. I don’t forget forever though. On the other hand, it’s creating more space, more capacity for new, more recent, and maybe more important stuff.

There is a difference between believing that one is a good person and actually being one.

It helps to be someone with qualities one wants to find in the world. One wants to see and have in his or her friend-cycle.

Good things take time. Bad things take some time as well but our perception of time is different.

When we are doing things that we like, time passes by rather quickly. When it’s about “work” things that may be more difficult, time passes by not as quickly

You are you. When it comes to whatever always remember that. When it comes to working out, dieting, working, productivity…whatever.

When things don’t work for you, don’t do them. When you know that you should be doing something in a certain way…do it in this certain way.

We can connect to others more easily when we make ourselves vulnerable. When we are talking about our setbacks, our mistakes, the things we don’t like about ourselves, and more of what we sometimes would like to hide, we give the other person the opportunity to share his or her shortcoming without the negative side effects, without them having to be ashamed of what they are talking about.

This enables us to feel more connected, to see similarities, to feel human.
